The Business Empowerment Programs are designed to provide WCGBC members with valuable resources, real connections, and actionable information that support business growth and sustainability. These events and learning opportunities focus on business empowerment, leadership development, and procurement training to meet the everyday needs of entrepreneurs and small business owners.

Program Highlights:

Biscuit & Business – Quarterly Breakfast gatherings where members connect directly with local officials, decision-makers, and fellow business owners to discuss opportunities, share insights, and collaborate on community initiatives.

Lunch & Learn Series – Educational sessions featuring expert presenters on timely business topics. Members gain practical tools and knowledge to help make informed decisions and take strategic action, enhancing their leadership development journey.

Financial Wellness Workshops – A three-part series focused on key financial topics like budgeting, managing debt and credit, and cash flow planning. Designed to help members build strong financial foundations for long-term success, these workshops also incorporate essential elements of procurement training.

Professional Networking Events – Evening mixers with keynote speakers and influencers. These events provide members a chance to forge meaningful relationships, share their business offerings, and grow their visibility in the regional business ecosystem, all while focusing on business empowerment.

The Business Leadership Series (BLS) offers powerful insights and practical tools for business empowerment and effective leadership development. Participants will engage in workshops and webinars led by experienced entrepreneurs and industry professionals to:

Our P.I.V.O.T. Program focuses on business empowerment for small and minority-owned businesses by providing essential skills, strategies, and knowledge needed to pursue contract opportunities at local, state, and federal levels. The program unfolds in two targeted phases: 

Phase 1: Training – Offering comprehensive procurement training that includes hands-on learning about certifications, proposal writing, compliance, and procurement readiness.

Phase 2: Contracting – Facilitating connections to upcoming contract opportunities and providing 1:1 technical support to help businesses win bids.
