The Business Empowerment Programs are designed to give WCGBC members access to valuable resources, real connections, and actionable information that support business growth and sustainability. These events and learning opportunities are built to meet the everyday needs of entrepreneurs and small business owners.

Program Highlights:

Biscuit & Business – Quarterly   Breakfast gatherings where members connect directly with local officials, decision-makers, and  fellow business owners to discuss opportunities, share insights, and      collaborate on community initiatives.

Lunch & Learn Series – Educational sessions featuring   expert presenters on timely business topics. Members gain practical tools  and knowledge to help make informed decisions and take strategic action.

Financial Wellness Workshops – A three-part series focused on  key financial topics like budgeting, managing debt and credit, and cash  flow planning. Designed to help members build strong financial foundations  for long-term success.

Professional Networking Events – Evening mixers with keynote  speakers and influencers. These events give members a chance to for  meaningful relationships, share their business offerings, and grow their  visibility in the regional business ecosystem.

The Business Leadership Series (BLS) offers powerful insight and practical tools to elevate leadership and management capacity. Participants will engage in workshops and webinars led by experienced entrepreneurs and industry professionals to:

• Deepen civic and business  engagement

Our P.I.V.O.T. Program equips small and minority-owned businesses with the skills, strategies, and knowledge to pursue contract opportunities at local, state, and federal levels. The program is delivered in two focused phases:

• Phase 1: Training – Hands-on learning on  certifications, proposal writing, compliance, and procurement readiness.
• Phase 2: Contracting – Connection to upcoming  contract opportunities and 1:1 technical support to help businesses win bids.
